    Anew strategy for the Communications Authority that adopts the principle of shifting from a traditional regulator to a digital regulator​​
    His Excellency the Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission, Dr. Muhammad Al-Tamimi revealed that the Commission has launched a new strategy, through which it continues to preserve the gains made during the past years, and moves forward to develop and expand, and attract more investors (especially small and medium enterprises), while preserving the quality of service to the consumer the final decision in all services under the authority's supervision, including postal activities.​
    this came during the meeting organized by the Asharqia Chamber, the day before yesterday (Tuesday 1/12/2020), and it was transferred by direct transmission technology and managed by the Chairman of the Chamber's Board of Directors, Abdul-Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khaldi, and the Chairman of the Chamber's Communications and Communications Technology Committee, Nasser bin Rashid Al Bajash, participated in it. His Excellency the Governor affirmed that this meeting is part of the state of communication adopted by the authority with the private sector, and the complete keenness to improve investment mechanisms and raise the level of quality and services provided in the fields of communications and information technology, referring to their work to restore the success story that was achieved during the past years in the telecommunications sector. And it was adopted in the postal sector after the recent assignment of the regulatory and supervisory tasks of the postal logistics services sector to the authority.​
    Dr. Al-Tamimi also indicated that the new strategy works in several areas, most notably the provision of a stimulating investment climate, the development of frequency management in a way that serves the development in the country in general, consumer protection and service access for all, stressing that the new strategy of the authority adopts the principle of transformation from a traditional regulator of communications and information technology to a digital regulator, especially since the sector deals with everyone, including individuals and institutions alike.​
    For this part, The Chairman of the Chamber's Board of Directors, Abdul-Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi, said that the Kingdom has made great achievements and quantum leaps in the digital sector during the past three years, as it ranked first in digital competitiveness at the level of the G20 countries, and jumped about 40 places in the digital infrastructure index For communications and information technology, and we became one of the top ten countries in the world in mobile "internet" speeds, which had the greatest impact on our overcoming the biggest crisis in the world, which is the Corona pandemic.
    Al-Khalidi added that these accomplishments and this expansion and activity are unprecedented in the communications and information technology sector, whether at the state level or what business sectors are showing in their different activities towards increasing their spending to move their systems to the technical level, and that the dialogue with the authority aims to expand the base of dialogue and discussion on future steps. For the communications and information technology sector, and that all representatives of the private and government sector are studying the prospects of this sector, which is witnessing a unique transformation in the world.​
